February

Despite being a short month, February was super busy!  In addition to our vacation and weekend events, the boys ended their basketball season and started baseball.  Their basketball league has an end of the season award ceremony and Colin was selected to lead a 'Family Feud' team as part of the pre-event fun.  His team won!  Mom and dad also snuck out for a date night to see Rent at the Fox.  We had the house painted and removed/replaced all our front landscaping.  Colin has also been making sourdough weekly.

Carter (7 years, 9 months) - Carter had a crazy busy month with activities every weekend (often multiple activities!).  He had a blast playing basketball and was super sad when it was over.  He decided to play baseball this Spring and may slightly regret that now that he is in practice three days a week!  Carter also saw the dentist this month and had big kid Xrays taken.  Poor boy has a small jaw and large teeth, they are all on top of each other!
Best buddies - right after Andre lost his tooth and they became missing front teeth twins!

Parker (6 years, 3 months) - Parker would say he had a great month!  He finished up basketball and loved it.  He is also starting baseball and very excited to play with his neighborhood buddies once again.  Parker also started tennis and swimming and has established bike riding as one of his favorite activities... he is quite the active kid.  Mom and the boys had a fun outing to see Peter Pan at Lovett.  Both boys loved it but Parker really got into character!  Finally Parker has been inspired by the Olympics and has organized both a Holden kid and Lovie Olympics.  He designs flags and medals for the events plus performs the Opening Ceremonies and runs all the events.

Avery (3 years, 6 months) - Avery is definitely a happy girl with boundless energy!  She loves having her picture taken and refuses to be left out of anything.  The weather has been nice so she has insisted on going to the playground every day after school.  She loves to give "huggies" and she has been planning daily "dinner parties" for her and pink bear.  But she is still a little girl who often falls asleep in the car 60 seconds after saying she "isn't tired".  She loves singing and dancing, especially when it's to the music from her favorite movie Descendants.

Siblings - These three love each other so much but they also know how to push each others buttons.  Thankfully we had some nice weather this month which gave them a bit more room to move.  They have been very into Hot Wheels and built tracks that run down our front stairs and out to the driveway and from the front stairs around the dining room and into the kitchen.  Neither were very practical for daily living but we made it work because it's hard to take down such fine engineering!  Avery even helped and made Magnatile villages along the course.

The kids celebrated the last day of February by breaking out their bathing suits and running through the sprinklers!

And in big news, Avery and Parker got married!  The planned a ceremony and even had a first kiss.  Carter was very jealous and several days later convinced Avery to dump Parker and marry him.  Stay tuned for how this love triangle plays out!
Other than that, the kids have several birthday parties, play dates and a lot of adorable fun!
