Happy New Years!

New Years started with the annual celebratory final hurrah for our Christmas tree and ended with midnight cheers and a lesson on how to take selfies with your watch. By 2023 - you were good to us but we are excited to see what 2024 has in store!

December

December was busy with holiday fun plus the kids activities including the start of basketball games for Avery and Parker. The crud also went around the house but thankfully the kids didn't miss too much school and no one felt that bad.

Avery (9 years, 4 months) - Big December news for Avery was that she got braces! She has been very excited about it but wasn't feeling so great about it the first few days afterwards between sore teeth and food limitations.

Avery had a few fun holiday activities including an annual craft fair, seeing the Christmas Story with Mimi and her class Holiday Party.

Avery had her first basketball games this month. She is hesitant to have control of the ball but enjoys playing defense and seeing friends on the court.

Avery also enjoyed hanging out with friends even a few underwater ones at The Little Mermaid adventure.
All that activity and icky germs wore her out

Parker (12 years, 1 month) - Parker had a well-rounded December with a bunch of fun activities! His baseball team had a holiday party, he had a few wrestling meets before the holidays and continues to improve his skills, he a few fun parties to celebrate the end of his first year of exams, basketball games started, he had a his winter band concert and he went to a winter campout with the Boy Scout troop. There was also a lot of wiffle ball, basketball and football with the neighborhood kids thrown in there!

Carter (13 years, 7 months) - Other than wrapping up first semester with 5 exams, Carter's month revolved around sports. He had a few wrestling meets including representing Lovett for his weight class at the Bear Brawl that Lovett won. He also got to go see a basketball game with friends and watched the Falcons on Christmas Eve.

8th Graders

Siblings - The boys (and dad) survived their winter campout, the kids met Santa at dad's office, the boys twinned often in their wrestling sweatshirts, and dad took a gaggle of kids to a GT Basketball game where Parker wore the baseball jersey Carter got for his 5th birthday (at a GT baseball game).
