Ft Collins & Wren's First Birthday

We were all really excited to head to Colorado to see the Burgess family and celebrate Wren's first birthday.
Dad had to work a bit longer in the week, so mom and Mimi took the boys out.  They were in great spirits and enjoyed watching the planes while we waited to board.
And thankfully they did really well on the plane!
And were very well behaved getting luggage and the rental car (plus they looked super cute with their back packs).
Once we got to Ft Collins, the boys wasted no time getting reacquainted.
After a long day of travel, we grabbed a very quick bite and crashed at the hotel.  We woke up the next morning and decided to hit up the local museum.  The boys had a blast running around and kept us all on our toes keeping up with them!

After the museum, the boys picked Chick-fil-A for lunch and took full advantage of the playground.
After nap-time we killed some time at the local park while waiting for dad and Uncle Reido to arrive.
Carter wanted to roll down hills just like last time he was here
And fortunately dad arrived that evening and the boys were thrilled!
We killed sometime before Wren's birthday the next day at a local play place.  The boys appear to have had a great time ;)

Soon it was time for the party.  It was a gorgeous day and the boys took full advantage of all the outdoor fun!
Before cake there was a quick game.  Wren let us all know he plans to be a rock star when he grows up.
And then it was time for cake.  Aunt B is a great baker and Wren couldn't get enough!
After all that playtime, the boys needed a break and a nap.

After naps, we enjoyed the rest of the gorgeous day playing in Wren's backyard.
It was a great birthday - day with the extended family!
