Down on the Farm: Carter's Birthday Party

For Carter's birthday, he asked for a farm party.  We weren't too sure about having a petting zoo at the house so we found a place called the Art Barn a little ways out of the city that seemed perfect.  Rain was in the forecast the day of the party but we lucked out as the wet stuff never materialized at the farm.

We started the party in the Hay Barn checking out the little animals including bunnies, ducks and chicks.
And got instructions on how to behave on the farm.
Then Carter took all his friends on a tractor ride around the farm.
After the ride, it was time to meet the big animals around the barn yard.  There were sheep, donkey's, horses, pigs, goats, doves, chickens and even a barn yard cat.  Farmer Sue took the kids around to meet each animal and told them a little about the animal as well.  Then the kids had free time to play.
Carter stumbled upon the chicken coups and some eggs.  So he called all his friends over to check them out and Farmer Sue let them hold the eggs.
Carter got to go find more eggs in the Hen house
Then the kids went to meet the egg mommies, the hens and even a few babies.
Then it was time to head into the barn for some more fun.
