Spring Fling at Scout Camp

This past weekend, the Holden boys all returned to Burt Adams Scout Camp with Carter's Cub Scout pack.  It was a chilly early morning when we arrived, but the boys were very excited, remembering last fall's visit, and were itching to find activities the moment we parked.    The camp is really well run with a bunch of great activities for the kids to enjoy, including; sling shots, BB guns, archery, chess, arts and crafts (decorating an Easter bag), ga-ga ball, animal nature shows, fishing, guided nature hikes, and more.  Additional activities unique to this camp were an Easter Egg Hunt, a night hike once the sun was down and the stars were out, and a fun campfire full of skits and sing-a-longs which the boys really enjoyed. The overnight temps dropped from the daytime highs of upper 70's, to a morning chilly low of 37deg when we woke.  Both Carter and Parker didn't seem to mind, and woke with smiles on their faces.  We all are hopeful for another fun return to camp soon.
