May at School

Carter finished up second grade with a social studies project on the Appalachian Trail.  He made a poster and gave a presentation to his class.  He also had Fun Day and though it was a rainy day he still had lots of fun especially with the scooter boats and King of Pops!

Parker had what may have been his busiest month yet at school!  It started with the K-1 musical, Swamped.  Parker's class opened the show with their song "We're Swamped".  Parker was a Park Ranger.
Up next was Fun Day.  Parker loved scooter boats, the parachute and Face Painting.

With his teacher, Mrs. Swaim
Parker also painted his own face.

Kindergarten started their Chinese studies this month by learning about Chinese dances and games.

And the class had their Spring MSR activity where mom/Mimi helped the class make flower vases.  But Parker's favorite part may have been making and eating the dirt cups!

There was also some learning fit in and other fun activities including a party in the Dell, his student teacher's last day (the class made her an advice book and got to watch the Seniors jump in the pond) and Parker brought Popsicle's to the Dell to celebrate their last Kindergarten sibling after school.

Avery ended the school year with several fun events.  In addition to a Mother's Day celebration, she also had 'Donuts with Dudes'.  She hung out in chapel with Mrs. Ashley when mom couldn't make it.  We also got to celebrate her birthday early with a party in her classroom and her birthday blessing in chapel.  Mom also got in one last Mystery Eater lunch and was a Mystery Reader.  And she finished her final week with Pajama Day, a Beach Party and Popsicle's!
