November

November brought a few fun adult food activities including Oysterfest and a mom's pizza making class.

Being a baseball coach isn't always glamorous

Avery (11 years, 3 months) - Avery continues to enjoy sixth grade. She had her first chorus concert, has been making good grades and enjoying spending time with friends. She also started her last basketball season at Upward this month and is excited for the season.

A favorite activity remains playing Roblox

Parker (14 years) - It was a busy month for Parker with Fall baseball season ending (rec and travel), turning fourteen and starting wrestling season. Parker started the Middle Season strong and was able to compete in a JV event at the end of the month. He is slowly warming up to the rigor of wrestling season but really enjoys practice and hanging out with his teammates.

Carter (15 years, 6 months) - Carter started the wrestling season strong on the Varsity team competing in several large tournaments and the annual Lovett Thanksgiving round robin. He is excited about the season and working hard. School is going well and while challenged by several classes, he enjoys his teachers and is proud of how he is pushing through hard coursework.

Siblings - The boys' Fall baseball team finished a strong season coming in second in their division. They are now onto wrestling season where they will have some overlap between practice and the occasional tournament.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was extra fun this year because the Burgess Family was in town. We had a few fun adventures but a highlight is always the Garden Lights.

On Thanksgiving Day, mom and dad joined the neighborhood gobble jog while the kids slept in which helped us work up an appetite for lunch with Pops/Emme and dinner with Mimi.

Halloween

Halloween changes as the kids get older, gone are the days of family costumes and pictures but everyone still had a fun night celebrating! Avery was Rapunzel and trick-or-treated with school/neighborhood friends. Mom was a mahjong tile and dad was a suburban mom with our neighborhood friends. Parker decided to stay in the neighborhood this year and was a video game character (don't ask his parents what it was). Carter skipped trick-or-treating and went to Six Flags, but his siblings made sure to get plenty of candy to share.
