August at Camp Mom

For the first two week of August, the three kids were at camp mom.  We sat down and made a list of what they wanted to do before school started and then spend two weeks checking off each item on the list.  We also had lots of "field trips"!  The kids definitely enjoyed spending lots of time together.  I know Avery will especially be sad when school starts and she isn't with the boys as often.

Highlights included - lots of pool time, doughnut tasting contest from Sublime donuts, Acworth Beach, Children's Museum, World of Coke, High Museum, Chuck E Cheese.

Doughnut Tasting - We tasted 5 doughnuts and the cookie one won with a perfect score (six check marks).

Acworth Beach - We spent the day enjoying the sand, playing in the lake, having a picnic lunch and checking out the playground.  The boys found a clam and build a habitat for it with items they found in the lake.

Children's Museum - Avery didn't want to leave the food area and the boys loved the balls.  The special exhibit was Blue Man Group.

World of Coke - The kids were especially playful today despite the drizzly weather.  The kids got to hold an Olympic torch and  enjoyed meeting the Polar Bear.  But not surprising, their favorite place was the taste testing room.  The boys picked out their favorite drinks from each continent.

High Museum - The kids got to make Fans and go on a kids tour to learn more about some pieces.  They also got Art Boxes to take home with art supplies.  Their favorite part was the Merry Go Round exhibit in the courtyard.

Chuck E Cheese - We somehow spent 3 hours at Chuck E Cheese and it wasn't awful ;)  The kids had a blast playing game.  And the boys ran into some school friends.
