Disneyland - Day 1

We spent our first two days at Disneyland park.  Thanks to still being on East Coast time and with walking access to the parks, we were able to get a front row spot to wait for the gate to open.  We spent our time planning our strategy for the day which ended up being time well spent as we were able to cover the whole park and knock-off everything on our list!

We spent a good portion of the morning in Star Wars Land enjoying the rides and entertainment.  Rise of the Resistance was still a big hit with the whole family and we had a successful run on the Millennium Falcon.

With some Covid precautions still in place, there aren't traditional Character Meet and Greats but thankfully there are still opportunities to see Characters as they pop up around the park.  The boys have passed this stage but Avery is still very into getting her picture taken with any character she can find.
Alice in Wonderland
Tinker Bell in her Garden
Stitch on the balcony
Mickey in his cavalcade

After lunch we knocked out Tomorrowland and then headed to Fantasyland and Toon town.  Space Mountain was the favorite here.  The kids also enjoyed the Matterhorn and Avery loves any ride that involves a character.
Avery made us take a picture of her with every character she recognized on It's a Small World
She found her name in the Alice in Wonderland queue

After the early morning wake-up and knocking off everything on our list, we ended the day with a family favorite, Big Thunder Mountain and headed back to rest for Day 2 at Disneyland tomorrow.
