Labor Day Weekend in Tybee

For Labor Day weekend, we rented a house on Tybee Island, GA with two other neighborhood families. We checked the kids out of school early and headed down for a long weekend of beach, seafood and baseball.

The house we rented was across the street from the Tybee Lighthouse and a few blocks from the beach.  We lucked out with nice weather so we made several trips to the beach each day.  The boys spent lots of time fishing, boogie boarding and building in the sand.  Meanwhile the dads focused on building giants holes.

We also enjoyed some exploring around the island with walks for breakfast biscuits and beach souvenirs, yummy seafood restaurants and of course, ice cream.

We also had some fun around the house where dad got to show off his plumbing skills, the boys invented an indoor football/baseball game, we watched lots of football and played many rounds of cards/dominoes.

It was a busy long weekend and we definitely all enjoyed some car naps on the way home!
