October means Smyrnabration which is a big festival in Smyrna. The headliners were Kool and the Gang and Fitz and the Tantrums and we spent a full day hanging out with friends and listening to good music.
Avery (11 years, 2 months) - The highlight of the month for Avery was participating in a local children's musical theater performance of Schoolhouse Rocks Jr. Avery joined the crew which involved making props and doing backstage work during the show. She really enjoyed it and signed up for a small onstage part in their next show.
Avery's show happened to be the same weekend as Chalktoberfest which was right next to the theater so we were able to check out some awesome chalk art too. Avery also had a bunch of friends over to go to the annual haunted house at her school. The girls braved the no-scare and scare options with flying colors!

Parker (13 years, 11 months) - Parker played a lot of sports in October. His travel team continued a great Fall with a few more tournament wins. The boys' rec team had a strong season making it to the Championship Game. At school, Parker wrapped up Cross Country and started Wrestling. There was a lot going on but Parker made time to fit in fishing and video games whenever he could!
Carter (15 years, 5 months) - Carter enjoyed Fall baseball and is looking forward to Spring season. But he is fully committed to wrestling in between. Practices started this month and the team kicked it off with media day and getting recognized at a football game for their State Championship last year.
Siblings - This month Avery got to support her brother's at baseball while they supported her at the theater!
