Carter the Fish

Continuing our busy day, Carter had his first swim lesson Friday afternoon. He wasn't too sure what to expect....
but when dad told him it was just a big bath tub, he was excited!
We are going to a mommy and me class that focuses on getting the babies comfortable in the water, teaching them to float and other survival skills. Carter was excited once we got in the water.
Especially since it was just like home. He had toys he could chew on...

And he could play with his toes!
Carter enjoyed having Ms. Sara shows him some moves.
And hanging out with the other kids. There are 6 kids in the class and Carter is the 2nd youngest. Here the are playing ring around the rosie.
And here is the Fish in the Pool (Wheels on the Bus). Carter was a bit more into his red ball than the moves. But he did great being on his back...and even went under a few times. Next week we will work on his bubble blowing, kicking and monkey crawl to get out of the pool. Carter was a great student and it was fun to get in a warm pool with the cooler weather we have been having. Despite the busy day and shots, Carter did great!
