Carter celebrated the occasion with several fun milestones. First he tried on the first of several birthday hats.
This one was a little big but made a fun play toy.
Then Carter showed off his rolling skills. He has been an expert with the tummy to back rolls but today he decided to show off several back to tummy rolls and even did a complete 360 roll.
Then he tried on another birthday hat and showed off his standing skills. He loves to chew on the edge of the coffee table.
After all that work, it was time for a snuggle with dad and his official birthday hat. That's right, it's half a hat to celebrate Carter's half birthday.
He knew he looked cute ;)
Still in birthday mode, Carter got his half birthday gift.... a sippy cup. He immediately grabbed it...
And put it in his mouth. He wasn't too sure what it was but he played with it for a while and loved being able to hold it himself.

After the sippy cup fun, it was time for dinner. We figured Carter was such a big boy with his cup so he deserved his own spoon. He definitely can't feed himself yet but he is great at putting the spoon in his mouth (not always the right direction).
It was a fun birthday night and has been a great 6 months! Happy Half Birthday Carter!
