Fall means football

Georgia Tech has had a few weekend open practices, and today Colin and Carter decided to go check out the action on The Flats. When Carter and Dad arrived at the stadium, the practice had moved into a full scrimmage and Carter was hooked.

After surveying the scene and determining what part of the game he wanted to focus on, Carter decided that an empty row about 6 rows back at the 20 yard line would give him a good opportunity to see both sides of the ball and he quickly put his focus towards the efforts on the field.

Carter spent a good bit of time evaluating player performance, formations, positional reads, and general effort of all players and coaches involved. He was not shy to inform any and all that would listen in a matter of fact fashion, his opinions on what he saw... needless to say Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has not helped his football acumen, but at least he is giving a good effort.

Overall we had a great time and spent more than an hour at the stadium watching an interesting football scrimmage (lot of work on the passing game gives Dad some hope and interest moving towards a new season)

Needless to say, it was a tiring morning outing and arriving home, we were more than ready for nap time
