Family Beach Trip

Before the temps got cold, we decided to take one last family beach trip to Sullivan's Island for a long weekend.  It had been a little rainy when we were in town over the 4th so we were really looking forward to some better weather and letting the boys enjoy the beach.  Apparently the boys were excited too because when we woke up our first morning there, they both asked to go to the beach right away (little Parker woke up asking to go "splash").  After we took care of some bed head...
We were off.  The boys were a sight to see.  They both laughed and ran towards the sand and the water.  It was a gorgeous morning with temps in the mid 80's and water about the same temp.  We spend several hours splashing around, exploring and relaxing.  I think the boys smiled 95% of the time.  We found a great spot where the water was very calm due to a big sand bar about 100ft out and started our exploration of the salt water.
Looking for fish
Walking on dad's feet
Parker and dad found a fun shell
Which Parker enjoyed dropping in the ocean...
over and over again!
Playing beach toys.  Mom and dad got to hang out on the beach mat and relax for awhile
Splashing in the ocean
That afternoon the boys decided to take a quick dip in the pool before dinner.  They decided naked pool time would make it more fun (we have some more embarrassing pictures that these ;))
Soon it was time for dinner and then to bed, what a great first day of vacation!
