Last Day of Family Beach Trip

Mom and dad were a little worn out of beach time (cleaning sand from ever crevice of two beach-loving boys takes it toll) so we took the boys to somewhere sand free... the Charleston Aquarium.  The aquarium has some fun interactive exhibits and a great view of the harbor.
Checking out the lemurs
Driving the jeep
Turtle surfing
Radioing the draw bridge to open up
The highlight for the boys was feeding the sting rays.   For a few bucks the aquarium outfitted us with a long straw and a few shrimp pieces. Carter went first and let some of the fish have a nibble.
Then Parker was up and fed two sting rays.
Carter took the last shrimp and fed the really big sting ray.
There were tears when the food was gone (lets just say it was a huge hit till the food ran out).  Luckily there was a touch tank inside to distract Carter.  He touched everything inside.  His favorites were the horseshoe crab and sea urchins.
After we finished with the aquarium we headed outside to check out the boats.
On our way back to the car, the boys found a fountain and insisted on stopping.  The splashed around for awhile imitating what the other one did.
Unfortunately it was then time to head home.  The boys did pretty well in the car ride home thanks to some fun videos...
Silly neck pillows...
Lots of pops...
And a few naps.  (Poor Parker got home and had a crick in his neck)
What a great trip.  We're sure there will be lots of beach trips in these boys' future!
