Animal Kingdom

Mickey sent us to Animal Kingdom today and the boys decided to start with the main attraction... the Safari ride.  There were definitely more animals out than we have seen in the past and most all were very active.  It was awesome!

After the ride we wandered through the African's trails to see more animals.
Before catching the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch where we ran into the monkey himself.
Carter made sure we visited his favorite area - the vet station.
He thought this game was really funny because it was about poop
The vets were working on a one week old baby antelope who has having a hard time post-birth but look to have a positive outlook
We also visited the Petting Zoo where Carter was extremely affectionate with some goats.
We started to leave the Planet Watch area but on the way out Parker caught sight of something really fun...
Chip and Dale were setting up for some games with the kids.  We danced, played red light/green light...
And did a conga line before taking a few pictures.
We made our way to the bird show, grabbed lunch and then took our two cool dudes over to Asia to see some more animals.
Parker loved the bats, the Tigers and...
the birds.
But he didn't love when Dad and Carter left him to go ride the River Rapids.  Parker was too short, this issue really bothered Parker this time.  A few more inches to go for little man.
Fortunately we were all reunited and dried off in time to see Mickey and Minnie.  They were a hoot with the kids!
We had a little time to burn before the Nemo show so the boys decided to catch the Bugs Life movie and play in the Boneyard for awhile.
After Nemo, we watched the parade...
before heading back to Dino-land for a family ride...
Some education on dinosaurs through the Wilderness Explorer program...
And a visit with Donald and an unhappy Parker.
While Dad and Carter left once again to ride Dinosaur.
We were all beat so we wandered through a few more animal trails, let Dad ride Everest and visit a few more Wilderness Explorer stations (Carter and Parker completed about half of their merit badges and kept their book to finish the rest when we return) before heading out for dinner.
Everyone was all smiles after a fun day at Animal Kingdom!
