The Magic Continues

After an evening of rest (Carter some how found a way to wedge himself sideways in the crib and barely fit).

We were up and getting ready for day two at the Magic Kingdom.
Off again went the Holden's, this time we went straight to Fantasy Land to miss the crowds that seem to gather there (little hint if you are going, Fantasy Land gets crazy busy right before lunch and only lets up during parades and fireworks, if you are wanting to hit these rides, use the FastPass or go early).

We first rode the Snow White ride. Although it had a warning that it may be scary and intense for small children, Carter took to the ride like a champ staring down the evil witch.
We then hitched a ride on Peter Pan's flying boat and flew over London and to Never Never Land where Peter conquered Captain Hook.
Next was the most annoying ride at Disney, but at the same time, the most entertaining for kids (isn't that how it always is), off to It's a Small World and a non-stop repeating sound track. In truth, they have done some updating to this ride since we were last here over ten years back and the soundtrack is less repetitive. It actually was a good ride and Carter loved it!

Once it warmed up a bit, we went to the Dumbo ride to see the sites of Fantasy Land

Carter rode with Grandma and Grandpa

Colin was only allowed a ground shot with Carter

Last stop in Fantasy Land was the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. This is a ride that only a sick few can enjoy fully (if you are really working the spinning wheel). Needless to say, the younger Holden's were not game for this ride and watched Grandma and Grandpa spin their cup faster than anyone on the ride. It was dizzying just to watch.

We then headed to Mickey's Toontown Fair. At the Hall of Fame Tent, Carter and the Family were invited to meet three Disney Princesses. First we met with Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

then onto Cinderella... We also met Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

We continued around Toontown, including a stop at Mickey's house. His kitchen was pretty messy!

But as we finished touring Mickey's Garden, we were surprised and found Mickey and Minnie! Both were very excited to see Carter and hung out with him for a bit and both gave him kisses.

The whole family had a great time with Mickey and Minnie and Carter could not stop smiling with his favorite mice in the room.

Then it was back to the rides! Carter and Colin hung out in Frontierland while Grandma and Grandpa got on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

There was even some horseplay while we waited

Before leaving the Magic Kingdom for good, we took a few family shots in front of Cinderalla's Castle.

We also decided that one more trip to Tomorrowland to get on Space Mountain was in store (they have turned the lights of again making it the great ride it was intended to be). While there we met with Stitch.

While getting ready to take a picture, Grandma made mention that the only stuffed animal she wanted a picture with was Bucky from the University of Wisconsin. Although she was quiet with her comment, we think Stitch heard because he quickly grabbed her out of line and started harassing and licking her.

We had a great time at the Magic Kingdom and plan many future adventures there as Carter continues to grow!
