Carter's First Soccer Game

Here are some pictures from Carter's first soccer game.  He was a little nervous before hand and tried to convince us to go to the farm instead.  But once we got there, he warmed right up.  At this age they divide the teams up on two fields and play 4 on 4.  The other team had several kids who didn't show and a few who wouldn't leave the side lines.  So we lent them a few of our players.  Colin coached Carter's end of the field.  It ended up being Carter and his friend Andre playing against the other Carter (who had switched teams) and another boy on the other team (there were 2 other players on each team but they weren't too into the game).

Carter did great.  He scored 3 goals plus a joint effort on the other field when he and Andre ran around our goal and scored in the goal on the other field.  He only a cried a few times when the other team scored but he got over it pretty quick.

He stayed in the game the whole time and was engaged except when he wanted water.  Here are a few pictures of the "action".

Carter and Andre got bored of kicking and decided they wanted to be goalies - they went to the other teams goal though.
