Indianapolis - Day 2

Another morning meant another round of duck and koi feeding.  It also meant cold temps, luckily we found a store with kids cloths.  Check out Carter rocking the jump suit!
This was the big day, but while the bride and groom prepared, we headed to the Indianapolis Zoo with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Laura, and JR.  The boys were off and immediately found the shark touch tanks.
Despite asking him to wake and Parker's bear growling, the polar bear did not get up, just a small look our way then back to bed.
Luckily that dampened no one's mood!
We toured all the zoo and soon found nice rail to rest on.
Soon enough the train came (all the boys were very excited).
They promises a behind the scenes tour... They weren't kidding, we saw the backs of all the buildings housing the African animals but saw very little actual display areas.  The kiddos didn't care though, they had a blast on the train.  After the train ride it was off to see the animals of Africa.
Parker really enjoyed this section as he recognized all the animals and either called them all by name or the sounds they make.
Carter, Parker, and JR all had a great time and were always sharing in what they saw.
Soon it was time to head home for a nap before the wedding, but not before a last ride on the carousel.
When we returned to our hotel, the manager was waiting for the Cookie Monster, aka Carter, to return.  She promised Carter before we left that she would wait to put out the afternoon cookies until he got back, she held true to that promise.  Carter was very excited to have the first cookie of the day.
While Parker napped, Carter made a fort in our room.  He also slowly started to get very tired and lethargic.  Little did we know he had come down with a nasty bug.  As soon as the wedding started, Carter got pretty sick and we had to call it an early evening.
Here are the boys outside the reception before we decided to take Carter home.  Luckily his bug was only a 12hr issue and he was doing fine once he woke up.
