Winter Break 2018 - Cozumel

Our first port was Cozumel, Mexico.  We booked a Dune Buggy excursion with a few other families.  Our dune buggy had no seat belts, a broken speedometer and a battery that died once but the kids loved it.  We took the buggies on a tour around the island for a little over 5 hours.  The dads also had a blast as they liked to pretend their were race car drivers and enjoyed the fact that Mexico apparently has no open container laws.

Our first stop was a Tequila tasting where we learned a little about the production process and got to sample various products.

For our next stop, we decided to take a break at a small stand that had amazing salsa, killer views of the east side of the island, lots of hammocks and cut open fruit in front of you to make their drinks.  It was beautiful.

We then traveled to the South end of the island to Punta Sur Ecological Park.  There we walked up the first lighthouse on the island, saw iguanas and crocodiles, and held some parrots.

From there it was back up the Westside of the island to a beach club where we had lunch, went swimming and Carter/dad snorkeled.

We then had to race back to the boat to board on time.  It was such a fun excursion!
