Sullivans Day 2 - Golf Carts, Pool and Boat

Day 2 at Sullivan's started with a happy baby who was ready to get back to the beach. Luckily for mom and dad, he was agreeable to letting his parents take a brief cat nap before the fun started.

Carter was also on his best behavior while dad finished up some important work. He made sure to be really quiet.

Once dad finally got off the phone, the family headed down for breakfast. Carter hung out and supervised while everyone ate and did some early morning puzzles (a Sullivan's tradition).

After breakfast, the Holdens loaded up in the golf cart so Carter could feel the breeze in his hair! We stopped at Ft. Moultrie so Colin could get a picture with the cannon's (boys!) and mom could take a picture of the view of Charleston Harbor. That is Ft. Sumpter in the background.
In between the sights we stopped for lunch at Sullivan's Seafood Restaurant. As a homage to our wonderful friend Brittany's daily food pics on her amazing nutrition blog I made Colin take a pic of his lunch. Needless to say no one would pay Colin to be their nutrition counselor after seeing this meal! (you can check out Brittany's blog at http://www.ahealthysliceoflife.com/).
After lunch, we hit up the pool where Carter practiced standing on his feet for a while.
He then spent about an hour showing of his floating ability. Carter was extremely content to just lay on his back and drift around the pool.
Our 2nd day at the pool brought smiles all around!
After the pool, we got ready for our big evening adventure. Carter's first boat ride! Carter was so excited he broke out his sailor suit.

The whole Scott/Holden clan had a great time on the boat. We took an ecotour so we were able to check out the local wildlife on our way out to Kaper's Island.

One side of Kaper's Island is naturally eroding, killing the trees but leaving them behind in the sand. Sort of a tree grave yard. We spent about an hour wandering around before dinner. Low County Boil... Yum!
We took one more family picture before we headed back on the boat.
It was quite the busy day for Carter, so he slept the whole way back to land. Good thing because our 3rd day at the beach was going to be just as busy!
