More Vacation Fun: Water, Bikes and Forts!

Carter woke up and was in a great mood. He and dad had lots of fun playing their yelling game...
Carter things daddy making funny noises is hilarious!
Carter took a quick break from the games to read himself a book in Hershey's bed.
Carter and dad then decided to take a bike ride around the island. The stopped for a quick walk on the beach. They stopped to say "Hello" to all the ladies headed to church.

Before they headed over to Fort Moultrie.

Carter found more cannons to play with.

It was pretty early so no one was at the Fort yet. So Carter had free rein to run around and check everything out.

After the Fort, Carter decided to climb up to the observation deck across the street to get a birds eye view of the Fort.

After lunch and a nap, we decided to head to downtown Charleston. On our way to the Straw Market, we stopped by Pop's bar Squeeze for a quick picture.

After walking around for a bit, we found local park where Carter got his play on.

He practiced going down the slide backwards (a trick he learned from a big kid at the Sullivan's park yesterday).

Of course, dad had to get in on the play action as well.

After the park, we decided to head down to the battery where we could check out the action in the harbour.

And there was lots of space for Carter to run.

And run!
All that activity worked up quite a thirst, so Carter started giving his I'm thirsty sign (subtle huh?).

Then we took our time heading back to the car so we could enjoy looking at the historic homes. And Carter could get a free lift from dad.

We decided to cool off when we got home with a dip in the pool.

Carter decided to do a little baby modeling as well since he had on his speedo.

Action shot!

Look at those muscles!

We had a great afternoon in the pool which capped off a fun filled day.

Carter wasn't quite ready for the fun to end so even though he got in his jammies after dinner, he insisted on taking one more bike ride. So he put on his helmet and off he and dad went! It was a very busy day but we had a blast hanging out with the little guy and seeing him so entertained!
