More Ft. Collins Fun

The boys woke up in great moods this morning.  It seems they love hotel rooms, particularly playing and interacting on hotel beds!

We decided to try out another park today and this one had a special surprise… a farm.  Carter was so excited to see the tractors he ran bypassed the animals.  He “drove” for awhile before we convinced him to walk around a bit.

He was finally coaxed away by the promise of seeing a “horsy”.  Parker was very intrigued by the animals and dad even let him pet one.

Soon we noticed a long line was forming, so we went to check it out.  It was story time and they were giving out milk and cookies for the occasion.  We grabbed some milk and a few Oreo’s for Carter and went to check it out.

Carter was more interested in the tractor than the story though so we took another ride and listened from afar.

After a nice-long ride, dad got Carter some grain so he could feed the animals.  He wasn’t interested in the sheep, goats, cow or pig.  But he was fascinated by the birds.  He fed the turkeys…

Chickens…

And ducks.

He really wanted to feed the Horses but there was a sign saying not to feed them.  So he resorted to lots of petting…

And even tried to climb in to hug one!

We decided to check out some of the educational activities inside the barn but Carter couldn’t get his mind off the horse.  He picked up the computer mouse, pretended it was a phone and called the “Horsy”.

After a brief conversation with the horse, we headed back outside where Carter found another obsession to play with… water.

He was a pro from his time at the Gardens so he gave all the other kids a lesson.  Sweet Parker just smiled at his silly brother.

After some final good bye’s to our animal friends, we grabbed lunch and head back to the hotel for nap-time.  Of course once we got in the room, we had to have some play-time on the bed.
