A Beautiful Week at Lake Norman

After the football game, we unloaded the tailgate stuff, packed our lake supplies and got on the road to Lake Norman, NC. Our good friends the Dixon's bought a gorgeous house on the lake last Spring and this was our first opportunity to make the trip.

This was Carter's fifth state in the past month. He is getting to be quite the little traveler.
We got to the Lake right at Carter's bedtime Saturday, so he said a quick "Hello" to everyone and then it was off to bed for little man.

We spent a nice night hanging out with our friends and practicing our Wii Fit skills. Carter woke up bright and early Sunday and was ready for some fun. It was a gorgeous day so we took our time hanging out around the house but we finally all got ready and headed off to lunch... via the boat of course! How much fun is that???

Carter slept in his life jacket the whole way to lunch, during lunch and the way back. After a nice long lunch, it was finally time to get wet. We jumped in the lake right off the Dixon's dock. Carter practiced his floating and hung out with dad on the noodle.
After all the sun, little man was beat so he headed to bed early.

Colin and I spent a fun evening playing games, catching up with friends and night swimming.

Unfortunately we had to leave our gracious hosts and head home Sunday!
