Mommy and Carter's Day of Fun...Sorta

Friday, I got to work from home like normal but it was extra special because Colin was gone for the night. It was mom and Carter's first day alone. Colin went to Barnsley Gardens for a fun evening with his department at work. The last time I was at Barnsley, I looked like this:

And less than 24 hours later, we had Carter! Anyway, this meant Carter and I got to spend some fun time together.

Carter did some good napping in the morning and when he woke up he was ready for fun. So mom decided to try out dad's new baby carrier.
I then put Carter to work. Looking at Excel spreadsheets move around is not nearly as entertaining as the TV.
Here is where the sorta fun part of the day comes in. Friday afternoon, Carter had his 4 month doctor's visit. The good news is he is continuing to grow really well. Carter now weighs 15lb 60z and is 24-1/2" long. The weight is the 55th percentile and his height is 30th. The not fun part was more vaccinations for Carter. He handles them really well again. He cried right when it happened but calmes down as soon as mom picked him up. He'll go back to the Doctor in early November for his 6 month check-up (and more shots).

When we got home, Carter napped for a little while.
He then woke up and wanted to show off his battle scars... Those are Bugs Bunny band aids if you are curious.

Grammie came over to say "Hello" and Carter had a little meltdown. Luckily he calmed down and was all smiles as he sat with mom while she ate dinner.

It was a fun day but we're excited dad is coming home soon!
