Badger City - Day two

Friday morning was the beginning of a big day of firsts for little Carter. Somehow it seems that he knew it would be a big day with a lost to do as he decided to wake up at 5:30am! After a little Sportscenter and Rider Cup action, not to mention an early morning bottle, Carter decided that a nap in mom's lap prior to the days festivities would be a good idea.

Then we were off with Grandma and Grandpa to see the town. We had to decide whether we wanted to go to the Madison Botanical Gardens, or to the Zoo... after much discussion and deliberation, Carter decided that we would go to the Botanical Gardens and then to the Zoo (he didn't want to miss a thing). It was a beautiful day out and Carter was looking good in his shades as we toured the Gardens.

We had a great time touring around the many differing gardens at the park and took lots of pictures:

At the far end of the Gardens, we stumbled upon a Sala from Thailand. The pavilion is the only Sala from Thailand in the continental United States (there is one in Honolulu, HI) and only two additional other ones exist in the world outside Thailand.

We also spent a little time doing some great play time with Mom!

We continued through the Botanical Gardens and took a number of great photos with Grandma and Grandpa in the Rose Garden.

We were then off to lunch (Carter was very happy about this) and on to continue our day at the Zoo (more to come!)
