Badger City - Day 2 Continued

After lunch, we headed off to the Madison Zoo. This was Carter's first visit to a Zoo ever and he was so excited after a long morning at the Botanical Garden that we slept on the way into the Zoo.

Once passing through the gate and getting a quick understanding of our surroundings, Carter decided to wake up and meet all the new animals he was about to see for the first time. There was a fun aviary:

After the zoo, it was back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a quick dinner, and then onto the big event of the day... U of Wisconsin Hockey at the Kohl Center! We knew it would be a bit cold and the horn when goals were scored would be loud, Carter made sure to dress appropriately.

It was quite a game... to which Carter slept through most all but about half the first period, but all had fun (and the Badgers scored enough goals that it we got free custard)
