To the Land of Beer and Cheese

Last Thursday the whole family packed up an decided to head up North to see Carter's Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncle, and Cousin (it was a very busy house when all were there). We woke up as normal, but Carter seemed very confused as to why we were not off to work and taking him to day care. Mom explained that we were off to Wisconsin to see his Grandparents and Carter got very excited!
When we got to the airport, Carter was very happy and excited to see all the people. He could not contain his happiness and we could not stop him from watching the hallway between gates as he watched the bustle of the world's busiest airport in action.

We had a rather uneventful flight to the delight of Mom and Dad. Carter slept almost the entire way (minus a rather difficult in flight diaper change). Once landed in Milwaukee, Grandma and Grandpa Holden were quick to meet us and again say hello to the newest member of the Holden Clan.

We got our bags together and headed off to Mad City (Madison) to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Holden for an extended weekend. On the way into town, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa West's home to let Carter meet his Great Grandparents for the very first time.

After we hung out with our new Great Grandparents, we headed home just in time to watch a great sunset:

We then remembered that we had traveled to the land of Central Standard Time and that we had past our bedtime. We went quickly to bed in preparation for a long and very fun day to come!
